Fleet-level controls
Ranks, permissions, company structure, and certification checks. Everything the office needs to control and monitor the fleet.
Built for the office
Shore-side and superintendents get one place to define who can do what, how the company is structured, and where the gaps are. Ranks, permission controls, company structure, and the certificate gap finder are all there.
Ranks and permission controls
Define crew ranks (Master, Chief Officer, Engineer, etc.) with department and seniority. For each rank, set exactly what they can see and do in the dashboard: read or write for certificates, safety, contracts, work & rest, procurement, planned maintenance, and more. Scope can be company-wide or limited to their team or vessel. So the office decides who can approve requisitions, review incidents, or edit company structure.
- Ranks – create and edit ranks; assign crew to ranks; link ranks to permission sets.
- Rank-based permissions – per-feature read/write (e.g. certificates, safety, incidents, contracts, work & rest, procurement, PMS). Optional “admin” rank for full access.
- Company vs team scope – some ranks see the whole company, others only their vessel or crew group.
- On-duty vs off-duty – when a user is assigned to a position (e.g. Chief Officer in a Master slot), they can inherit that position’s rank permissions while on duty.
Company structure
Model your organisation so the dashboard and permissions match reality. Vessels, crew groups, vessel positions (including safe manning), and who reports to whom.
- Vessels and crew groups – organise crew by vessel or team; assign crew to groups and positions.
- Vessel positions – define positions per vessel (e.g. Master, Chief Officer) with required certificates for safe manning; see who holds each position and whether they’re qualified.
- Position assignments – who is in which position, from when to when; supports rotations and reliefs.
- Reporting structure – rank reports-to so approvals and visibility follow your hierarchy.
Gap finder and certification checks
See where the risks are: expiring or expired certificates, and who is in a role but missing the required certs. The office can fix gaps before port state or audit.
- Certificate expiry overview – expiring soon and expired certificates across all vessels and crew; filter by vessel, department, or status.
- Gap finder – which crew or positions have gaps: missing required certificates for their job or position, or certs that are expired or expiring. Drill down by vessel, rank, or person.
- Safe manning view – vessel positions with required certificates; current holder and whether they’re qualified; highlight unqualified or vacant positions.
- Certificate hierarchy – checks use your sector’s certificate hierarchy so equivalent or higher-level certs count as satisfying a requirement.
Dashboard, alerts, and reporting
One fleet dashboard with quick links into every area. Fleet-wide safety alerts, approvals, work & rest compliance, and reporting so the office has full visibility and control.
- Fleet dashboard – vessels, crew counts, and links into certificates, safety, contracts, work-rest, procurement, and planned maintenance for each vessel or the whole fleet.
- Fleet-wide safety alerts – share incident learnings to all vessels; one place to see and manage alerts.
- Approvals and workflow – requisitions, contracts, and safety reviews approved at fleet or vessel level by users with the right rank permissions.
- Work & rest compliance – compliance and violations across vessels; export non-conformity reports for inspections.
